In exactly 2.5 weeks I should be on a plane from Toronto to New York City to start grad school.

WHAT.

Maybe it’s the fact that I’m still working and about to write my GRE, or that I haven’t started to pack, but this feels like a dream.

Love this.

Love this.

Welcome to my tumblr!

I’ve been meaning to start a blog for the longest time, so here it goes.  Please bear with me as I stumble through this and attempt to entertain you all with things that I find interesting. :)

I’m a first year graduate student at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, pursuing a Masters of Public Health in Healthcare Management. I plan on pursuing a PhD or MD upon graduation from my MPH.

I’m particularly interested in the efficient management of scarce healthcare resources.  My research focuses on statistical modelling to better understand and make decisions about healthcare resources, operations and treatments.

The choice regarding which of these paths to pursue is where I’m presently stuck.  Perhaps starting my masters will help make things more clear - stay tuned. :)

Currently travelling, finishing up research, and enjoying my summer holidays in anticipation of beginning grad school at Columbia.  Can’t wait!
